Twitter has acquired a large-scale computing startup called Ubalo.
“In early 2011, we started Ubalo to make large-scale computing easier and more accessible to a technical audience,” co-founders Jacob Mattingley and Ian Downes said in the company’s Web site. “A few days ago, Twitter agreed to acquire our technology and we agreed to join their staff.”
The Palo Alto-based Ubalo was founded in 2011.According to case studies published on Ubalo’s website, the startup helped its clients perform their complex data-gathering and analysis tasks faster.
