The Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) has Compromised Microsoft’s Office blog hours after it was redesigned.
According to The Verge, following the attack several articles on the site appeared with the title ‘hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army’, which were later removed by Microsoft.
The hackers posted the screenshots of the administration panel for the Office blog on their official Twitter account.
“Dear @Microsoft, Changing the CMS will not help you if your employees are hacked and they don’t know about that. #SEA”, SEA told in a tweet.
“As part of prior harassment by the digital group, Microsoft admitted that some of its employees’ email accounts were compromised. Screenshots of mail were tweeted out, showing discourse between executives discussing the hacked social accounts”,Techcrunch told.
Previously SEA has attacked a series of high profile organisations including several media organisations such as the New York Times, CNN, The Guardian and Associated Press.
