Amazon has launched a new service named “Amazon Video Direct” for competing with the YouTube in the user-generated video market .
Amazon Video Direct will allow the Video creators to upload their own videos to Amazon’s Prime Video and generate royalties based on the hours streamed.
Actually the Video creators can choose to earn money from many different options. Like, royalties based on hours streamed by Prime members, a revenue share for rentals, purchases, monthly subscriptions, or ad impressions—or any combination of these options.
The user-generated video will be available anywhere Amazon Video is available. i-e U.S., Germany, Austria, UK and Japan, and on all supported devices, i-e Fire TV, phones, tablets, game consoles, Smart TVs and from the Web.
#Amazon will distribute a share of $1,000,000 per month as a bonus to the Top 100 titles included with Prime through Amazon Video Direct. This bonus—based on global customer engagement—is incremental to revenue earned from hours streamed, rentals, purchases, monthly subscriptions, and ad impressions.
