Startup “Unified” Introduces Social Operating Platform (SOP)

Unified, a Social Media Marketing Start-up company had introduced an innovative Social Media Markting Tool named as “Social Operating Platform (SOP)”. It is designed for large brands and agencies who need better automation and management of paid and owned media campaigns for managing advertising across different social channels, such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and open web social networks and mobile platforms.

“Paid advertising is a feature of a much larger platform, and our Social Action Engine allows us to turn CPC/CPM marketplaces into CPA campaigns, allowing advertisers to buy engagement at scale,” said Dave Donohue, vice president of marketing for Unified.


 

Unified focuses solely on social platforms, so no current integration with search or Google AdWords.
Unified makes money through license fees and professional services. It also charges usage fees for clients who buy advertising through the system, but they can also buy the ads elsewhere and still manage other parts of the process with Unified.

Unifed has offices in New York and San Francisco. It has been building its business quietly since April 2011. But it claims to have executed more than 3,000 social campaigns for a couple hundred brands over the past nine months, including Microsoft, BMW and GE. Unified’s client roster includes R to Z Media, Digitas; and Starcom Mediavest Group.

J. Sheldon Owen is the CEO of Unified. He says “More metrics from the social ecosystem. Good for brands but bad for brand managers.”
