Apple announced Tuesday that John Browett, who has been chief executive of Dixons Retail PLC since 2007, would join the company as a senior vice president in charge of the technology giant’s retail operations and expansion in April.
John Browett replaces Ron Johnson, who left Apple last year to become CEO of U.S. clothing retailer JC Penney.
“Our retail stores are all about customer service, and John shares that commitment like no one else we’ve met. “We are thrilled to have him join our team and bring his incredible retail experience to Apple,” Apple’s CEO Cook said in a statement.
