An email management startup Xobni was acquired by Yahoo , the company officially announced on its blog.
“It’s a big day here at Xobni. We’ve been acquired by Yahoo! At this moment, we’re unpacking our boxes from San Francisco and settling in to the new Sunnyvale space at Yahoo! HQ”, Xobni said in it’s official post.
Yahoo did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, which the technology blog All Things D pegged at $30 million to $40 million, but Bloomberg Businessweek reported it reached $70 million.
Xobni released a FAQ indicating that the company plans to continue supporting its contact management tools for Outlook, but that other platforms may expire on July 2, 2014.
Xobni staff have been relocated to Yahoo’s headquarters, including Xobni’s chief executive Jeff Bonforte, himself a former Yahoo employee.
The deal is the latest acquisitions by Yahoo since Marissa Mayer became chief executive.
