Monday, October 21 – Status update was not working in the Social Media Website “Facebook.com” for around one hour.
Below error message was shown when trying to update the Facebook status at 7 pm IST (5.30 am PST /8:30 am EST )
“There was a problem updating your Status. Please try again in a few mintues”
And below error message was displayed when trying to “like” any post.
“An error occurred. Please try again in a few mintues”
According to web service status tracker Downrightnow, Facebook is likely experiencing a service disruption.
And, as per this reddit discussion, most of the people from various countries face this issue today.
It seems Facebook Chat is not affected by this outage, people are able to use the chat.
Facebook Platform Status page is showing the live status as “Payments is down ”
