Facebook director Marc Andreessen’s firm sold a third of its Facebook stake ,according to a regulatory filings.
Andreessen has sold of about 2.3 million of its shares valued between of US$49.22 and US$50.07 each.His firm still holds 4.57 million shares in Facebook.
Peter Thiel, an early investor in Facebook and a board member, sold more than $1 billion worth of the company’s shares in the IPO and after the end of the first lockup period.At the time, the shares were valued between US$19.27 and US$20.69 each.
Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg also sold her Stock for $91 Million during August,2013.
Marc Lowell Andreessenis an American entrepreneur, investor, software engineer, and multi-millionaire. He is best known as co-author of Mosaic, the first widely used Web browser; as co-founder of Netscape Communications Corporation;and as co-founder and general partner of Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. He founded and later sold the software company Opsware to Hewlett-Packard.
Marc Andreessen also invested in other top startups including Facebook and Pinterest.
