The country’s telecommunication authority has 30 days to implement or appeal the decision.
A ban was implemented on Friday on the grounds that Twitter had failed to remove the allegations of corruption involving senior officials.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed to “wipe out Twitter”.He said that the network “was threatening national security” and that it had refused to co-operate with the Turkish authorities.
