Atlassian has acquired San Francisco-based “Hall”, a team chat messaging app for businesses, for an undisclosed amount.
“HipChat is a leader in team chat and messaging. By joining HipChat, we can accelerate our original mission of modernizing team communication”, said Brett Hellman, CEO of Hall.
Hall.com won’t accept new signups.Existing users will still be able to use the service until June 30, 2015.
Hall launched in 2011 in San Francisco and since then it has raised $US6.1 million from investors such as Felicis Ventures, PivotNorth Capital and 500 Startups.
