Twitter has Acquired artificial intelligence startup called Whetlab to boost the microblogging site’s machine learning efforts.
“We have created a technology to make machine learning better and faster for companies, automatically,” Whetlab said on its website.
Internet giants Google and Facebook are increasingly investing in artificial intelligence technology.
The deal is Twitter’s second acquisition of a machine learning tech company, following the acquisition of Madbits last July.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Whetlab said it would shut down its service on July 15.
