LG Electronics (LG) will also introduce the latest iteration of its one-of-a-kind steam clothing care system at IFA in Berlin. The unique LG Styler is designed to refresh clothes without chemicals, providing an ideal solution for clothes that require extra special care such as coats and sweaters and items made of wool or silk.
LG’s one-of-a-kind Styler doesn’t clean clothes with water but with steam. TrueSteam, LG’s steam spray technology which is also available in many of LG’s popular washing machines, sanitizes as it refreshes. With one touch of a button, hot steam is sprayed directly on the clothes to eliminate more than 99 percent of the germs and bacteria that infest clothes, hats and scarves.
And Styler is safe to use because it doesn’t require harsh chemicals. In fact, tests carried out by one research body showed that the LG Styler eliminated approximately 92 percent of Perchloroethylene — the main chemical used in dry cleaning and a possible carcinogen — during a complete 83-minute cleaning cycle.
LG Electronics (LG) will demonstrate High Dynamic Range (HDR)-enabled TV and broadcasting technologies in cooperation with a host of high-profile broadcasters and content providers, at IFA 2015 in Berlin. The highlight will be a demonstration of BBC Research & Development’s HDR content transmitted to LG 4K OLED TVs.
LG will hold the world’s first demonstration of HDR Hybrid broadcast broadband TV 2.0 (HbbTV 2.0) content on LG 4K OLED TVs. The BBC HDR content will be streamed by the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) which will employ an adaptive bitrate streaming technology, MPEG DASH, also known as Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP. This technology enables HDR content streaming over the Internet to be delivered from conventional HTTP web servers.
At IFA 2015 in Berlin, LG Electronics (LG) is introducing its energy-efficient refrigerators, deliver convenience enhancing features such as the Dual Door-in-Door System which keeps food fresh longer and helps the interior stay better organized.
The refrigerator’s Door-in-Door design reduces the amount of cold air escaping by up to 47 percent. With the addition of a second independent Door-in-Door compartment, cold air loss is further reduced.
“LG’s latest refrigerators have been designed to reflect European consumers’ consideration of the environment and preference for convenient home solutions,” said Jo Seong-jin, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company.
“Every day we strive to create new technologies and convenience-enhancing features to meet the expectations of our customers which enable us to keep our leadership in the premium refrigerator market.”
