Samsung unveils the ProXpress M4030/4080 Series Printer

Posted on September 15, 2015

Samsung Electronics have introduced the new ProXpress M4030ND single function monochrome printer and M4080FX monochrome multi-function printer, both designed to deliver greater productivity, security and cost efficiency to small and medium-sized businesses.

The new ProXpress M4030/4080 series is a fast, 40 pages per minute (ppm) line-up. The 4030ND printer’s capacity can be expanded to 2,850 sheets and the 4080FX multifunction printer to 2,300 sheets, making these devices suitable for offices with heavy volumes of printing.

The M4080FX multifunction printer scans three times faster than other conventional models in the market, making it particularly useful for businesses that scan a lot, such as law firms and design agencies. It also allows integration of customized solutions for extended functionalities, such as output management and document distribution.

The M4030/4080 series is built for speed and reliability to suit offices that print a lot and depend heavily on their office printer or multifunction printer for black and white printouts. With a maximum monthly duty cycle of 120,000 pages, the device can handle heavy loads and long periods of printing.

Key features of the ProXpress M4030/4080 series include:

Powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, the series can print up to 40 pages per minute, while the M4080FX in particular comes with a built-in dual-scan document feeder, which can scan up to 60 double-sided images per minute.

Secure authentication options are offered as a native feature, enhancing document confidentiality and reducing print waste. Users have several options to authenticate print jobs: entering a PIN, or ID and password; with a simple tap of their identification card or NFC-enabled mobile device.

The M4080FX uses Samsung’s open architecture platform to enable integration of partner and independent software vendor solutions without the need for a server. Solutions such as fleet management software can directly be installed on the printer to extend and enable functionalities such as multi-server and multi-site device management.

“The market for high-specification A4 devices is growing, as many Small to Medium Businesses (SMBs) continue to face reductions in budget and office space efficiency,” said David SW Song, Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Sales at Samsung Printing Solutions, Samsung Electronics.

“Our customers are continually looking for ways to improve productivity, drive secure operation, and gain greater cost efficiency. With the ProXpress M4030/4080 series, we aim to provide clients of all sizes and budgets with the best-in-class options, and help them grow their business.”

The M4030ND and M4080FX will be made available for purchase in September 2015 through official Samsung Printing Solutions dealers.
