China unveils world’s first Female AI News anchor

China’s Official News Agency Xinhua has unveiled the world’s first Female AI News anchor.

This AI News anchor was developed jointly by Xinhua and search engine company Sogou.

Apart from unveiling the female AI News Anchor, they have improved the male AI Anchor which they released a few months back. Now the Male Anchor can broadcast news in a standing position with more body language.

The Female AI Anchor is named as “Xiaomeng” which was modelled after real-life Xinhua news anchor Qu Meng.
