Two Scientists from India have made a breakthrough discovery in creating a material that exhibits major properties of superconductivity at ambient temperature and pressure.
Superconductivity is a phenomenon of exactly zero electrical resistance occurring in certain materials,
As of now, superconductors will get zero resistance only at very low temperature. So, there is no practical use of such superconductors.
Superconductivity at ambient temperature has been a holy grail in physics for about a century as it can help build very high efficient devices leading to huge energy savings.
A team led by Prof. Anshu Pandey from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru confirms that their material exhibits major properties of superconductivity at ambient temperature and pressure.
Their material that exhibited superconductivity is in the form of nanosized films and pellets made of silver nanoparticles embedded in a gold matrix.
A lot of people were asking more evidence for their discovery. So, they have published another Paper for giving the data/details about Current-voltage characteristics in Ag/Au nanostructures at resistive transitions.
