Because of the
And, new automobiles are including consoles for inductively charging consumer electronic devices, such as smartphones
Even wireless charging is getting implemented for charging Electric Vehicles also.
Now, Researchers at the University of Warwick have found that use of inductive charging risks depleting the life of mobile phones using typical LIBs (Lithium-ion batteries).
Inductive charging enables a power source to transmit energy to an electrical load across an air gap, without the use of connecting wires. Such systems use AC mains to DC, then DC to high-frequency AC conversion with an air-core transformer operating in the radio frequency (RF) domain to accomplish near-field magnetic coupling.
One of the main issues with this mode of charging is that of thermal management. There are several sources of heat generation associated with any inductive charging system
Because the device and charging base are in close physical contact, heat generated is transferred to the device by simple thermal conduction and convection.
This heat will decrease the battery’s storage capacity.
So, it is better to use cable charging instead of wireless charging to avoid
