Good news for green energy! We need lots of rechargeable batteries for things like phones, laptops, and electric cars. But the metal parts of these batteries can be hard to find and mine, and bad for the environment.
Scientists are looking for better battery materials that are easier to find and don’t harm the planet. They found a promising candidate called TAQ, which is made from carbon, a common element found in the ground.
TAQ batteries work great! They last for thousands of charges, store lots of energy, and charge super fast. This means we could have electric cars that go further, charge quicker, and are kinder to the Earth.
These new batteries still need some testing before they’re ready for everyone, but scientists are hopeful they can help us power the world with clean energy!
