Amazon has introduced Prime Book Box, a subscription service that delivers hand-picked children’s books every 1, 2, or 3 months.
Amazon’s Prime Book Box offers curated boxes of hardcover books for kids up to age 12. Amazon Customers can pick whether to receive the boxes every 1,2 or 3 months and each delivery costs $22.99.
Amazon says people can save up to 35 percent off list price. Each box will contain 2 hardcover books or 4 board books.
Currently this service is available only in U.S , and it is available by invitation only for Prime members.
Amazon’s Prime Book Box is available for 4 types of Age Groups, upto 2 years, 3 to 5 years, 6 to 8 years and 9 to 12 years. Amazon will select the Books based on the recommendations from Amazon Books Editors and Customers Ratings and Reviews.
And, Amazon will check the recent purchase history of the users to avoid including the Book they have already purchased on Amazon.com. And Amazon will allow the users to swap the Books in the curated list before shipping them.
Amazon is introducing this new subscription service, as many parents are willing to introduce Physical Book to their kids to reduce their screen time. And, Prime Book Box will help Amazon to reach younger people.
