Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg got married to Priscilla Chan.
Zuckerberg and 27-year-old Priscilla Chan tied the knot on 19 th May, 2012 (Saturday) at a small ceremony at his Palo Alto, California home.
After watching his company “Facebook” go public on Friday, the Mark Zuckerberg changed his status on his personal profile page to “married.”
His Facebook Status update about the marriage got more than 350K Likes within 3 hours.
The 28-year-old Zuckerberg and the 27-year old Chan exchanged their vows at a small ceremony at the groom’s home in Palo Alto, Calif. There were fewer than 100 people at the event, including Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg.
Rather than his trademark hoodie, Zuckerberg wore a suit for the ceremony.
Food was served family-style and included dishes from the couple’s favorite Palo Alto sushi restaurant. The two had been planning the marriage for months but were waiting until Chan had graduated to hold the wedding.
Chan dressed in a white gown, and had just graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco last week. According the AP (Associated Press), the guests were originally invited to a graduation celebration for Chan, but were surprised to learn that it was, in fact, a wedding.
Zuckerberg cofounded Facebook from his Harvard dorm room in 2004. It is now one of the largest companies in the world. And, Zuckerberg was selected as Time’s Person of the Year in 2010, at age 26.
According to her Facebook Profile, Pricilla Chan was graduated from Hardvard university in the year 2007 and she was working as 4th and 5th Grade Science Teacher at The Harker School from Aug 2007 to Jun 2008.
