The wearable and smart home products company, Misfit, unveils a low cost Flash Link wearable and a Misfit Link software.

Misfit Flash Link is an easy to use activity tracker and smart button compatible with the Misfit Link app. Flash Link is one of the lowest-priced multifunctional and modular wearable product on the market with a suggested retail price of $19.99.

The Misfit Link app makes Flash an even more powerful tool to control and connect with the world around you. Flash Link can be used with the Misfit Link app to take a selfie in your phone. It allows you to control your music (pause, play, skip songs, adjust the volume) with Spotify, Pandora, and more. The company said they will include IFTTT and Logitech Harmony integrations in future. The app is available to download for iOS users from here and they promised to release an Android version of this app by next month.

Flash tracks walking, running, cycling, swimming, tennis, yoga, dance and other activities. The Misfit App turns your fitness data into easy to read charts. It will help to see daily stats like steps, calories, distance and activities. They provide a long-lasting battery and automatic wireless syncing in Flash. It is water resistant to 30 meters as well.

Flash runs on a replaceable coin cell battery for up to 6 months. The Misfit app is synchronized using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).

“We’re focused on making products everyone can use. Flash Link is not just a more affordable wearable, it’s a more powerful one,” said Tim Golnik, Misfit’s Vice President of Product and Design.
