Posted on April 15, 2016

Google has introduced customizable cases for Nexus smartphones.
Google’s My Live Case lets people create their own snap case for Nexus 5X, 6, and 6P phones, by customizing it with a favorite photo or map.
Design studio on the Google Store allows you to personalize your phone case with either your favorite photo or a special place on Google Maps. Then, with dozens of filters, you can make your design fit your style . Along with your signature case, you get a live wallpaper to bring your design to life on your home screen.
Users can give a customized appeal to the Nexus phones by creating a Photos Live Case or Places Live Case. The Photos Live Case can be customized by using a desired photo whereas the Places Live Case can be personalized by using a map location through Google’s webpage for Nexus Live Case.
i-e Google allows you to print either a photo or a map on the case, and it provides tools to customize them with different filters and color schemes
Your Live Case comes with a companion live wallpaper that turns your screen into a personal slideshow.

Once the user receives the Live Case by mail, it can be snapped on to the Nexus phone. To use the custom live wallpaper, users are required to install the Live app available on Google Play.
The case also has a button on it that you can set up to launch a specific app.
You can use this shortcut button on the case to activate your live wallpaper, then customise it to instantly launch your camera or open your favourite app.
Google is selling these cases for $35 each. They’re available for the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, and Nexus 6P. The cases use NFC to transmit their wallpapers and make their add-on button work.
