Twitter,the micro blogging company has acquired the blogging site Posterous.
Twitter’s welcoming message says “Acquisitions have given us people and technology that have enabled us to more quickly build a better Twitter for you.”
Posterous,Founder and CEO Sachin Agarwal said “the opportunities in front of Twitter are exciting, and we couldn’t be happier about bringing our team’s expertise to a product that reaches hundreds of millions of users around the globe.”
Posterous Spaces will remain up and running without disruption.They promised to give notice to the users if they make any changes to the service.In case users would like to back up their content or move to another service, they will share clear instructions for doing in the coming weeks.
Posterous is a basic blogging platform similar to Tumblr and WordPress.It specializes in online photo and video sharing.
